A celebration of Acadian culture and heritage since 1955, the Festival acadien de Clare is the world’s oldest Acadian festival.

Gran Fondo Baie Sainte-Marie
Gran Fondo has quickly grown to become the largest cycling event in Atlantic Canada, with almost 700 cyclists participating in 2023.
Riders will navigate rolling inland roads along lakes and rivers, passing by towering wooden churches along the panoramic coastal route that hugs beautiful Baie Sainte-Marie.

Taking a Brier Island Whale and Seabird Cruise in Nova Scotia is watching whales and seabirds – and much more.

Balancing Rock
Called "Nature's Time Post", the Balancing Rock is a narrow vertical column of basalt, balanced on its tip; the most-photographed of Long Island's striking basalt formations.
This is a well-groomed 2.5-km trail and 235-step staircase leading to a platform with view of St. Mary's Bay and the Balancing Rock; interpretive panels, rest areas, picnic tables.

Le Petit Bois Trails
Le Petit Bois (or Little Forest) is a network of coastal and wooded trails located on the Université Sainte-Anne Campus. A self-guided tour for visitors who are curious about the history, birds, animals and habitats of Le Petit Bois.
Thirteen locations along the trails are outfitted with interpretive sign posts, each bearing QR codes that can be scanned with a cellular device.
Smuggler’s Cove Provincial Park
Learn about rum running at this popular coastal park!
Picturesque Smuggler’s Cove Provincial Park sits atop stunning coastal cliffs.
It features several viewing platforms offering views of the cove and a sea cave. Interpretive panels explain why the cove was an ideal spot for smugglers during Prohibition.
Mavillette Beach Provincial park
This park is nestled just two kilometers from Cape Saint Mary Lighthouse Park, offering a serene stretch of coastline spanning 1.5 kilometers. Its sandy shores are flanked by delicate marram grass-covered dunes, thoughtfully preserved with boardwalks.
During low tide, the expansive sand flats emerge, inviting leisurely strolls and warm-water dips. Supervised swimming is available on weekends throughout July and August, complemented by park amenities including change houses, vault toilets, freshwater taps, and informative panels. Lifeguards are stationed Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm, running from June 29th to August 25th.
For real-time weather updates, a webcam provides insights into beach conditions. Each low tide unveils a new adventure along the 1.5 km shoreline, offering treasures like driftwood, shells, and beach glass. Beyond beach-combing, activities such as surfing and kite-boarding beckon enthusiasts, contributing to Clare's burgeoning reputation as a surf destination.

BELLIVEAU COVE FARMER'S MARKET
Founded in 2002, our esteemed outdoor market graces the picturesque shores of Baie Sainte-Marie, and the starting point for the seaside picturesque boardwalk.
This market operates from late May to late September, this bilingual market exudes a welcoming community ambiance, drawing numerous visitors who often immerse themselves in its offerings from dawn till dusk.
This market showcases an array of delights, including freshly caught fish, locally sourced fruits and vegetables, artisanal baked goods, produce from certified organic farmers, and premium venison, among other discerning selections. Noteworthy among its attractions are the diverse talents of artists and artisans who grace the stalls each Saturday, adding an enriching dimension to the market experience.
